Top 13 Baby Essentials

As a new mom inexperienced in baby care, I quickly realized the importance of having certain items for my baby’s health and well-being. Today, I want to pass along the top 13 products that I found to be incredibly helpful and necessary for caring for my child as well as beneficial to myself. While there were some items that I have not yet used, I still believe it’s better to be prepared and have them on hand just in case. Below, you’ll find a list of my must-have baby wellness essentials.

Items listed with a star️ are also a baby bag essential.

Breastfeeding Essentials

Bamboobies Washable Bamboo Rayon nursing pads.

These were easy to use on the go. They are washable so it was easy to clean and it didn’t leave adhesive on my nursing bras. They were also very comfortable to wear.

Nipple Crack️

As a breastfeeding mom, I never experienced dry or cracked nipples but I have battled with soreness. I chose this brand for the baby-safe ingredients. I used this after breastfeeding and pumping.

Haakaa Breastfeeding

When I experienced a let down no one ever told me both breasts would lactate simultaneously. This was beneficial for collecting extra milk while breastfeeding if I chose not to pump at the same time.

Magic gel luxury breast therapy

This cool and warm compress allowed for me to pump while calming my sore breast and assisting with relieving clogged milk ducts and reducing mastitis.

Simple Wishes Pumping & Nursing bra

This bra has a very soft fabric, is comfortable to wear, and has extra pieces where you can extend the size or snap a strap around your neck for better support when pumping.

Momcozy hands-free breast pump️

This has been a game-changer for me. I was so happy to know these exist. Hands-free breast pumps were my number one go-to pump when I needed my hands for handling tasks around the house without wasting time pumping milk attached to a machine like a cow.

Health & Wellbeing Essentials

Oraljel Non-medicated Daytime/Night time Cooling gel twin pack.

This is for me just in case the baby starts teething. She hasn’t started but I figure I’d have this on hand along with teething rings I can freeze.

Boogie Wipes️

Very useful for dried boogies. I found these very beneficial.

Little Noses Saline mist spray

This was also useful for getting out dried boogies.

Grownsy Nasal Aspirator for Babies️

I was not fond of the mouth-to-nose aspirator, so I found a similar gadget. It comes with 3 changeable silicone heads, and 3 suction settings, and distracts baby with lights and music. I have 2 one for home and one for travel.

Keep Going Kids 130pc First aid kit️

A must-have in the baby bag. When I found this I was amazed at how many items were useful from hydrocortisone to bandages. This kit was a portable medicine cabinet for the baby.

Puremedy baby skin salve️

This salve along with Puremedy baby eczema relief was also necessary for my baby when dealing with dry skin, cradle cap, seborrheic dermatitis, and contact dermatitis. It is chemical free and I vouch for its effectiveness in soothing irritable baby skin conditions.

I hope these essentials make your life easier as it made mine. I’ve done the hard work of using and testing it so many other products but these are the ones I stand by. If you have any you’d like for me to try and share with other mothers struggling for the best products for their newborns send me a message and hopefully, it will be featured on here as another baby essential.
